About the position

The Software Engineering Manager will oversee a team of 5-10 developers, primarily focusing on management responsibilities while maintaining a technical background in Java. This full-time position requires onsite work in the Philadelphia office five days a week and involves a mix of hands-off and hands-on management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5-10 developers
• Work closely with the Director of Engineering
• Oversee Java development projects
• Ensure team productivity and performance
• Facilitate communication between team members and upper management

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java
• Prior management experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
