About the position

Minware is a self-funded seed-stage company that provides development observability software aimed at enhancing visibility into the software development process. This visibility is crucial for improving predictability and efficiency within engineering organizations. Founded by an entrepreneur who previously scaled a company to $86 million in revenue before selling it in 2021, Minware is on a mission to help others benefit from the lessons learned during that journey, particularly in growing an engineering team from 0 to 40 members. After achieving promising initial customer traction, Minware is now looking for dedicated individuals to help expand its reach and impact. As an early employee at Minware, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with the founders and engineers to build the product from the ground up. The company is seeking an ambitious engineering manager with strong interpersonal skills, high empathy, and a solid understanding of software development processes and modern full-stack technology. This role is critical as it involves leading teams that build scalable and maintainable software while ensuring process efficiency and code quality. Minware is committed to avoiding unnecessary technical debt, and the ideal candidate will help guide the team towards this goal. In this player/coach role, you will manage a team of developers working on Minware's core application, providing career guidance and conducting performance reviews. You will also be involved in the recruitment process, reviewing code, participating in sprint meetings, and ensuring that engineers meet both product and technical requirements. Collaboration with product managers and customers will be essential to define Minware's capabilities, as well as designing and architecting new system components. Additionally, you will manage a backlog focused on tech debt reduction and internal efficiency improvements.
