As a Software Engineering Manager, you will helm our diverse engineering squads encompassing Front-End, Back-End, QA, and UI/UX. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering, you'll oversee the development and maintenance of our proprietary content management system that serves thousands of clients worldwide. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring our platforms remain robust, secure, and at the forefront of industry standards. In this role, you will cultivate a culture of excellence, holding teams accountable while fostering growth and innovation. You will oversee timely, high-caliber software deployments that exceed client expectations and lead initiatives that enhance team productivity, processes, and product quality. Your ability to identify and accelerate product innovation efforts will keep Firespring ahead of the curve. You will also cultivate a collaborative environment where engineers are empowered to solve problems independently and grow professionally, while working closely with product management, product support, client success, sales and marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless client satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience leading or guiding Agile software development teams.
  • Strong interest or experience in people management and process optimization.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a proactive organizer mindset.
  • Analytical thinking, conflict management prowess, and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of web development, cloud services like AWS, and relational databases.
