About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced software engineers to serve as mentors for training generative AI models. This role involves providing coding expertise to enhance AI capabilities, particularly in generating code. The position is remote with flexible hours, allowing mentors to work at their convenience while contributing to innovative AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Craft and answer questions related to computer science to assist in training AI models.
• Evaluate and rank code generated by AI models.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science at a selective institution.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI or machine learning concepts (not required but preferred).
