As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Technology organization, this position is based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location, requiring regular time in the office, although some responsibilities may be performed remotely at the manager's discretion. In this role, you will manage development projects, development teams, and application support functions. You will oversee multiple application programming and analysis projects, which include the development, installation, and maintenance of application programs. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and maintaining adherence to quality standards on an ongoing basis, maximizing staff contributions through professional growth and development, and analyzing applications to ensure that all systems developed meet business needs and specifications. As a leader, you will be expected to cultivate diverse teams and inclusive workplaces to expand thinking, role model PNC's values with transparency and courage, drive change and innovation that will transform our business, take personal ownership to deliver results, and empower and trust others in decision-making. You will also be responsible for providing management reports on the health and stability of the production environment, ensuring that all risks associated with business objectives and activities are effectively managed, and supporting enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development projects and application support functions.
  • Oversee multiple application programming and analysis projects including development, installation, and maintenance of application programs.

  • Analyze applications to ensure that all systems developed meet business needs and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of prior management experience.
  • Experience in Cloudera Hadoop/Big Data.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Application Development experience.
  • Business Management skills.
  • Experience with User Experience (UX) Design.
  • Knowledge of Release Management and Process Improvements.
