About the position

Pickle Robot Company is seeking a Software Engineering Program Manager to lead and optimize complex robotics programs within their software teams. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless integration with the company's product vision, focusing on project planning, risk management, and cross-functional alignment to keep programs on track with budget, quality, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in specifying requirements.
• Support execution team with planning of activities over the short and mid term, using Agile methodologies such as Sprint or Kanban.
• Ensure plans are aligned with the company roadmap.
• Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
• Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
• Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a program manager, ideally in robotics or a closely related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field.
• Experience in developing both deep tech and mature products.
• Strong team player with problem-solving skills and ability to incorporate input from various sources.
• Demonstrated customer focus and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to generate process improvements and drive change initiatives.
• Detail-oriented and organized, adept at balancing technical oversight with project timelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Sprint or Kanban.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
