About the position

The Software Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for Clinical Operations at Apple will lead the development of software tools that support clinical studies, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of health research operations. This role involves defining technical strategies, guiding software design, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate health study operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive technical vision, roadmap, and strategy for our platform.
  • Guide the design and integration of data collection analysis and study monitoring during the study operation process.
  • Scope and prioritize features and bug fixes.
  • Represent the team and its technology in project meetings.
  • Foster good engineering standard methodologies to deliver quality software that adheres to privacy, security, and clinical compliance and safety guidelines.
  • Guide the design and integration of study tools to ensure they meet the study operation needs.
  • Communicate project definition, roadmap, plan, schedule, and status to executives and multi-functional teams.
  • Partner with highly skilled software and hardware teams to brainstorm ideas, identify viable approaches, and resolve potential risks.
  • Work with a large matrixed team to promote cross-team technology sharing.
  • Interact with all engineering design fields, data analysis, and additional project management teams.
  • Prioritize issues and track details while keeping in touch with the big picture.
  • Be adaptive and respond to changes swiftly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software engineering project management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations and research methodologies.
  • Experience in defining technical vision and strategy for software platforms.
  • Ability to guide software design and integration processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey project status and plans to executives and teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
