About the position

Pickle Robot Company is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Software Engineering Project Manager to shape the future of warehouse automation. You will collaborate closely with our software development team, mentoring them through the adoption of the Agile development process and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your impact will span project planning, risk management, and cross-functional alignment, keeping programs on track with budget, quality, and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Track team velocity and identify potential bottlenecks or risks.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Work with product managers and engineers to define and prioritize product features.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the software development team.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective communication between team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their goals.
  • Generate regular project status reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present project updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a software development or technology-related field.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing and able to work from our Cambridge, MA office at least 3x per week.
