About The Position
Extropic is seeking a Software Engineer with a focus on research and development to join our residency program. This position is pivotal as our hardware significantly accelerates specific types of probabilistic inference, and the residents will play a crucial role in pioneering the software necessary for designing these thermodynamic models and engineering their training. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with senior researchers and engineers to enhance our software stack, implementing new algorithms that simulate our thermodynamic hardware. This role will also involve conducting tests and experiments to assess the effectiveness of our thermodynamic models and other software solutions. Additionally, maintaining comprehensive documentation of our software stack and providing troubleshooting and internal support to researchers will be essential responsibilities.
