About the position

The Software Engineering Senior Manager at Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc. is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of various applications. This role emphasizes delivering business needs from requirements to production, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, and driving code reuse. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and participation in Agile methodologies, focusing on continuous improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead responsible for design, development, and implementation of back-end, middleware, and front-end applications.
• Deliver business needs end-to-end from requirements to development and production.
• Map user stories to detailed technical specifications, automate test cases, triage bugs, and optimize infrastructure.
• Follow software engineering and development best practices with an automation first and continuous improvement approach.
• Drive reuse of code, ensure adherence to architecture direction and architectural standards.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to build solutions.
• Work in Agile methodology scrum framework and participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning.
• Rewrite legacy applications that deliver provider data to consumers to improve real-time communication of recent data.
• Ensure that new designs work within the system.
• Work directly with development and design of new applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience in software development, or a master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in software development.
• Experience must include AWS, Kafka, Oracle, Python, SQL, Java, and Hive.
• Must have experience in the healthcare domain and Agile methodology.
