About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced hands-on Senior Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team in building a state-of-the-art Client Servicing platform. This platform aims to deliver a seamless client experience by reducing the need for multiple client touchpoints across underlying technology platforms. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a team that oversees the design, development, and delivery of servicing and onboarding solutions on a modern cloud-ready microservices architecture. This architecture is designed to drive improved client experience and reduce operational costs. In this role, you will manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of engineering managers, leads, and experienced engineers in specialized domain areas. You will be responsible for building high-quality capabilities with modern technology while ensuring adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture and meeting non-functional requirements with each release. You will partner with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, understanding next-generation domain architecture, and enabling application migration paths to target architecture, such as cloud readiness and application modernization. You will function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning. Your responsibilities will include identifying and recommending opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks, managing the overall software development cycle, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will also determine appropriate strategies and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables, helping to remove impediments and encouraging constant learning and continual improvement. Additionally, you will build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design as needed. You will interpret, develop, and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, while identifying, managing, and mitigating technology and enterprise risk. Collaboration with Product Managers and Product Owners will be essential to drive user satisfaction and influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap. You will also interact directly with third-party vendors and technology service providers, manage the allocation of people and financial resources, and hire and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
