About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team in building a state-of-the-art Client Servicing platform. This role focuses on delivering a seamless client experience by reducing the need for multiple client touchpoints across various technology platforms. The manager will oversee the design, development, and delivery of servicing and onboarding solutions using modern cloud-ready microservices architecture, aiming to improve client experience and reduce operational costs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of engineering managers and experienced engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements with each release.
  • Partner with architects and engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology strategies and enable application migration paths.
  • Act as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborations and planning.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for resolving technology roadblocks and managing the software development cycle.
  • Determine strategies to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and teams to meet deliverables.
  • Build engineering skills in the codebase and conduct peer reviews for quality assurance.
  • Ensure security, stability, and scalability within technology functions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to drive user satisfaction and influence technology requirements.
  • Manage allocation of resources to meet commitments and align with strategic objectives.
  • Hire and develop a culture of talent development to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of Management experience.
  • 3+ years of Client Onboarding/Servicing technology experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building diverse teams to tackle technical problems.
  • Strong technical background in building large scale performant systems.
  • Experience using Agile methods for team efficiencies and delivery outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with modern architectures such as cloud, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Ability to listen and internalize ideas from across the organization while setting a compelling vision.
  • Experience thriving in a collaborative environment with various stakeholders.
