As a member of the Software HR Operations team at General Motors, the Software HR Operations Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering and continuously improving HR solutions that drive business outcomes. This hybrid position requires the successful candidate to report to the Warren, MI or Mountain View, CA office at least three times a week. The role involves leading various HR projects and initiatives, including but not limited to the Workplace of Choice (WoC), performance management processes, talent identification, and compensation planning. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with Software HR leaders and stakeholders to identify project needs and objectives, ensuring that program implementation adheres to established timelines and deliverables. In this position, the Project Manager will frequently interact with senior executives within the Software and Services (S&S) division, working on special projects that may be sensitive or confidential in nature. This includes collaborating with business planners, Chiefs of Staff, and leadership teams to help deliver HR Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). The role also requires leveraging reporting technology to collect, analyze, and interpret data in partnership with the People Analytics team, identifying trends and insights to enhance HR processes. The Project Manager will generate HR reports and analytics using HR technology platforms, particularly Workday, to support data-driven decision-making and conduct audits related to HR data and processes. Additionally, the Project Manager will partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to identify opportunities for streamlining HR processes, develop recommendations for improvements, and implement necessary changes.
