This role of Software Implementation Manager is pivotal in enabling utilities and consumers to reduce energy consumption through our innovative and proven portfolio of software, services, and intelligent sensor technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the functional implementation and delivery of the Landis+Gyr Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS) solution. This position allows for remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring that the implementation process meets client expectations and contractual requirements. As a Software Implementation Manager, you will have primary accountability for the complete configuration and validation of the MDMS to achieve client acceptance and satisfaction. You will serve as the primary functional resource, collaborating closely with clients throughout the MDMS software implementation projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing and leading technical workshops to gather requirements and set technical expectations with clients, as well as preparing functional, technical, and interface specifications. It is essential to ensure that as-built solutions meet customer requirements, are properly documented, and that appropriate knowledge transfer is conducted to ongoing product support teams. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of MDMS and utility operations to support and manage complex system implementations. You will leverage your technical business process consulting experience related to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), MDMS, and utilities. Additionally, you will utilize your expertise in UNIX/Linux, shell scripting, Oracle database, SQL querying, and software system process monitoring to troubleshoot root cause analysis effectively. You will work closely with technical resources to resolve complex issues related to MDMS system infrastructure, including operating systems, databases, application servers, and ancillary components. Furthermore, you will interact with project, technical, and development resources throughout the company to establish and maintain knowledge of core products and all enhancements and fixes, especially those relevant to assigned clients. Supporting the creation of standard operating procedures for functional elements of the system and working with clients to establish testing plans and test cases will also be part of your responsibilities. This position may require domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 20%.
