About the position

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Software Implementation Manager to join our IT team, specializing in the deployment and integration of various software packages across the firm. This role is crucial in managing software implementations that range from small-scale projects to comprehensive ERP systems, ensuring that all implementations align with organizational needs and technical requirements. The Software Implementation Manager will be responsible for system evaluation, specification, configuration, data migration, customization, and troubleshooting technical issues throughout the implementation process. In this position, the Software Implementation Manager will lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software systems, providing technical expertise to optimize system functionality. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to identify integration requirements and designing solutions that connect systems with existing software applications, ensuring data integrity and workflow continuity. The manager will also assess the compatibility of software solutions with existing systems, identifying potential integration points and technical dependencies. The Software Implementation Manager will develop and implement integration strategies using middleware tools, APIs, and custom development as necessary to facilitate data exchange and synchronization between disparate systems. Ongoing support and maintenance for integrated systems will be part of the responsibilities, including monitoring data flows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to optimize performance and reliability. Additionally, the manager will document integration processes and maintain comprehensive documentation to support knowledge transfer and future system enhancements. Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in integration architecture is essential, as is providing leadership, coordination, training, and mentoring to the Business Systems team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects for software systems, including project planning, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and integrations with existing software.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify integration requirements and design solutions that connect systems with existing software applications.
  • Assess the compatibility of software solutions with existing systems, identifying potential integration points and technical dependencies.
  • Develop and implement integration strategies using middleware tools, APIs, and custom development as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to implement and test integration solutions, ensuring adherence to technical standards and security protocols.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for integrated systems, monitoring data flows and troubleshooting issues.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and dependencies, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in integration architecture, sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, training, and mentoring of the Business Systems team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software implementation, focusing on ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • A minimum of 6 years of team leadership/management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading both large-scale and small-scale implementation projects.
  • Deep understanding of integration principles, methodologies, and tools, with hands-on experience implementing integrations between ERP systems and third-party applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
