About the position

The Software Implementation Manager at Landis+Gyr Technology, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for the functional implementation and delivery of the Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS) solution. This position requires a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to translate those needs into effective software solutions. The Software Implementation Manager will work closely with clients to evaluate their contractual requirements and propose tailored MDMS-based solutions that meet their specific needs. This role is not only about managing the implementation process but also involves ensuring that the solutions delivered are of the highest quality and align with the strategic goals of both the client and Landis+Gyr. In this role, the Software Implementation Manager will lead a team of implementation specialists, coordinating their efforts to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The manager will be responsible for developing project plans, setting milestones, and tracking progress against those plans. Effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and upper management, is crucial to ensure that everyone is aligned and informed throughout the implementation process. The manager will also be tasked with identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Additionally, the Software Implementation Manager will play a key role in post-implementation support, ensuring that clients are satisfied with the solutions provided and that any issues are resolved promptly. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong customer service orientation to ensure that Landis+Gyr continues to deliver exceptional value to its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for functional implementation and delivery of Landis+Gyr Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS) solution.
  • Evaluate client contractual requirements and propose MDMS-based solutions.
  • Lead a team of implementation specialists to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Develop project plans, set milestones, and track progress against those plans.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software implementation management, preferably in the utility or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) and related technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to evaluate client needs and translate them into effective software solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
