About the position

OneStream's Software Instructors play a crucial role in educating our Partners, Customers, and internal teams on the effective use of our software. This position requires confidence in engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences, utilizing various learning styles, languages, and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have a background in CPM/EPM implementation and training experience, which is essential for delivering high-quality instruction. The role involves providing feedback and updates to enhance training content, as well as testing and mentoring trainers and authorized partners. Our team is proactive, self-learning, and committed to staying informed about new software features, implementation practices, and the product roadmap. Training is delivered both virtually and in-person, with a preference for candidates located near our training offices in Michigan and Florida, or those willing to travel for on-site training as needed. The primary responsibilities include training customers, partners, and employees on software usage while understanding the specific needs of each attendee. Instructors will conduct audits and quality control, collaborate with Technical Education Consultants to update existing content for new software features, and facilitate hands-on onboarding workshops. Additionally, they will assist in generating new content and classes based on audience needs, maintain a thorough knowledge of OneStream and MarketPlace Solutions, and proactively engage with other departments such as Services, Engineering, QA, and Product Management to enhance product knowledge. Instructors will also have the opportunity to deliver workshops at Splash, OneStream's annual user conference, showcasing their expertise and the capabilities of our software.

Responsibilities

  • Train customers, partners, and employees on how to use the software while understanding the needs of each attendee type.
  • Conduct audits and quality control.
  • Conduct testing with Technical Education Consultants to update existing content for new software features.
  • Facilitate hands-on onboarding workshops for customers and partners.
  • Assist with generating new content and classes based on the needs of the audience.
  • Gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of OneStream and MarketPlace Solutions.
  • Proactively reach out to additional departments (Services, Engineering, QA, Product Management) to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the product and new features.
  • Deliver workshops at Splash, OneStream's annual user conference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Education, Learning and Development, or relevant experience in a similar field.
  • 3-5 years of CPM/EPM experience with products such as OneStream Software FDM, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, SAP Outlooksoft BPC, SAP BOFC, IBM Cognos, or other EPM solutions.
  • 2 years of technical software facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Accounting and Finance industry experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical content creation experience.
  • VB.NET, SQL, C# development experience.
