About the position

As a Software Integration Engineer for the Nosis Program at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team dedicated to developing software integrated solutions for secure Windows and Linux environments. This role involves utilizing a variety of scripting languages, networking protocols, domain configurations, mobile architectures, database tools, and quality assurance/testing methodologies to ensure the successful integration of software systems. You will be expected to engage in the design, specification, inspection, verification, and testing of undersea systems and systems of systems, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing national security through advanced technology solutions. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, including container orchestration software like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services, particularly AWS, will also be beneficial. Your role will require a balanced technical and programmatic background, enabling you to make informed decisions on technical issues that arise during the integration process. You will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Responsibilities

  • Develop software integrated solutions for secure Windows and Linux environments.
  • Utilize scripting, networking, domain configuration, mobile architecture, and database tools for software integration.
  • Engage in quality assurance and software testing processes.
  • Design, specify requirements, inspect, verify, and test undersea systems and systems of systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance required within a reasonable period of time.
  • Experience with scripting languages and software testing methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of version control solutions (i.e., GIT, SVN) and container orchestration software (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code processes (i.e., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure Services (i.e., AWS).
  • Knowledge of Java Software and various scripting languages (Bash, VBScript, JavaScript).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (i.e., VMWare, Hyper-V).
