About the position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to contribute to the technology development lifecycle, focusing on system and software design, automation tooling, and software integration. The role involves working with various host systems, including aircraft software and simulated environments, to develop, integrate, and support software solutions. The position emphasizes collaboration within a high-performing team and requires effective communication skills to achieve mission goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, support, and debug software.
• Troubleshoot and support CI/CD build pipelines.
• Support the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes.
• Design, develop and leverage open-source, commercial and in-house software to support automation infrastructure.
• Attend and participate in daily scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos.
• Lead small software teams with a focus on specific capability/functionality.

Requirements

• Experience programming in C++
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience debugging software
• Must be a US citizen with an interim Secret clearance to start.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Experience with automation tools and development
• Experience with Real-time simulation software development and integration
• Experience programming in Python
• Experience with debugging tools
• Experience leading software projects
• Experience developing software on Linux
• A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems
• Experience supporting aircraft build pipelines
• Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons.
