About the position
The Software Integrations Engineer at Echo Global Logistics is responsible for developing and implementing solutions that integrate applications across the organization and its clients. This role is crucial in ensuring that existing systems meet integration requirements and that final solutions align with organizational needs.

- Evaluates existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and ensure final solutions meet organizational needs.

- Proven experience as a Software Integrations Engineer or similar role.
- Experience developing desktop and mobile applications.
- Business Requirement Gathering.
- Data Mapping.
- Data-Flow Analysis.
- Debugging Functional Requirements.
- Implement Business Rules.
- Production Automation.
- Programming Scripting.
- Software Integration Engineering.
- Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).
- API (Application Program Interface) Management.
- Software Bug Tracking Software.
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Software Source Code Management Software.
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
- Knowledge of Microsoft IDEs.
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. IIS, Apache), and UI/UX design.
- Knowledge of APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
- Programming Language- C#, C++ or Java; XML; EDI or OBI; Oracle or Microsoft SQL preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of X12 standards, specifically for documents 204, 210, 214, 990, and 997.
- Additional experience in CSV, delimited, fixed-length, and XML formats helpful.
- Ability to troubleshoot failures in any of these documents.
- Familiar with implementing EDI Specifications for the above documents.
- Familiar with Requirement gathering and documenting for EDI trading partners.
- Familiar with transmission protocols, such as FTP, AS2, and API.
