About the position

The Software Integrity QA Engineer II at iQuery is responsible for planning, designing, maintaining, and executing test cases with minimal direction. This role emphasizes the ability to conduct free testing without scripts and tools, report bugs effectively, and manage multiple deliverables while communicating progress and risks. The engineer will work closely with development teams and streamline processes for data collection, contributing to the delivery of high-quality applications for iQuery's platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, designing, maintaining and executing test cases with minimal direction.
  • Reporting bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques.
  • Managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically.
  • Developing test strategy and plans for feature areas, automating test cases, and running automation to qualify iQuery products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in QA Engineer
  • 3-5 years of experience in product QA environments or relevant experience required.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, SQL) is highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes.
  • Understanding of application workflow, datasets and outcomes.
  • Utilizing Visio for workflow diagraming ERD creation is a desired skillset.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or Programming or relative experience.

  • Ability to extract user scenarios from software feature descriptions and requirements to translate them into effective test plans and cases.

  • Understanding of UX principles.
