About the position

FEDITC, LLC is seeking a Software Interface Developer (Level 4) to join our dynamic Interface team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining Java and PL/SQL code associated with the Defense Civilian Human Resources Management System (DCHRMS), which manages HR data for Defense Civilian Personnel. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including developers, testers, customers, team leads, and management. The DCHRMS program will initiate a Public Trust investigation for the selected candidate, emphasizing the importance of trust and security in this role. As a Software Interface Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing back-end applications, database interactions, and data conversion routines. You will perform code analysis to optimize performance and engage in data collection and analysis, reporting results and formulating recommendations. The role requires self-direction based on higher-level task descriptions while working within a team structure and managing daily tasks independently. You will influence design and coding techniques for both individual and team use, collaborate with customers and senior management, and demonstrate delivered products during scrum events. The position requires a strong foundation in Java and knowledge of Oracle databases and development tools, including PL/SQL, SQL Plus, JDeveloper, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF). Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud and REST web services is essential. Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Subversion, GitLab, and Jira, along with Scrum/Agile practices, is also required. Strong organizational and analytical skills are necessary, as is the ability to work remotely while maintaining effective communication with team members. A Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of related programming experience are required for this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8-12 years of related programming experience.
  • Primary skill in Java.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database and development tools and languages (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, JDeveloper, Java, Oracle Application Framework [OAF], and Weblogic/JBoss JSF).
  • Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud.
  • Experience using REST web services.
  • Experience working with and configuring DevSecOps pipelines and using associated tools such as Jenkins, Subversion, GitLab, and Jira.
  • Experience using Scrum/Agile practices.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work remotely while interacting with other team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience extracting data from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
