Leidos's Digital Modernization Group is seeking a Software Interface Developer to join their Interface team. This role involves the development and maintenance of Java and PL/SQL code associated with the Defense Civilian Human Resources Management System (DCHRMS), which manages HR data for Defense Civilian Personnel. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a curious mindset, capable of solving complex problems and collaborating effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including developers, testers, customers, team leads, and management. The DCHRMS program will initiate a Public Trust investigation for the selected candidate. In this position, the Software Interface Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing back-end applications, as well as managing database interactions and data conversion routines. The role requires performing code analysis to optimize performance, conducting data collection and analysis, and reporting results with actionable recommendations. The candidate will need to self-direct their work based on higher-level task descriptions while also managing daily tasks within a team structure. Collaboration with customers and senior management is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate delivered products during scrum demonstration events. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and analytical skills, enabling them to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining interaction with team members. A bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of related programming experience are required for this role.
