The Software/IT Sourcing Lead Analyst/Manager is a senior-level individual contributor position responsible for leading procurement activities within the organization. This role focuses on negotiating terms related to price, quantity, and delivery of goods and services, while also analyzing comparable suppliers and finalizing contracts. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that the company acquires the necessary goods and services requested by personnel to support its business operations effectively. In this role, the individual will manage a substantial sourcing project portfolio, driving significant deal value for Citi. The position requires overseeing sourcing and supply base strategies, developing standards, policies, targets, and category strategies, and coordinating the sourcing process for various products and services within the procurement group. The candidate will also lead and participate in global category forums, maintaining high-level sourcing processes and team collaboration. Additionally, the Software/IT Sourcing Lead Analyst/Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing market analyses and benchmarking processes, leveraging insights to inform and support category strategy development. The role includes establishing a strategic supplier management program to optimize supply chain performance, performing financial modeling, and leading the development and execution of negotiation strategies for high-value, complex multi-year deals. The individual will set strategic directions with suppliers, establish qualification criteria, develop contract requirements, and negotiate and manage contracts. They will also support cross-functional teams in developing and executing sourcing and supplier management strategies, as well as complex contract negotiations. Coaching and training new recruits, along with serving in informal and formal leadership roles within the team, are also key responsibilities. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independent judgment, and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members. Risk assessment in business decisions is crucial, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while safeguarding Citigroup's reputation and assets.
