The Software/IT Sourcing Lead Analyst/Manager is a senior-level individual contributor role responsible for leading procurement activities within the organization. This position focuses on negotiating terms related to price, quantity, and delivery of goods and services, analyzing comparable suppliers, and finalizing contracts. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the company acquires the necessary goods and services requested by personnel to support its business operations effectively. In this role, the analyst/manager will manage a substantial sourcing project portfolio, driving significant deal value for Citi. The individual will oversee the sourcing and supply base strategy, developing standards, policies, targets, and category strategies while coordinating the sourcing process for various products and services within the procurement group. Participation in global category forums is essential, maintaining high-level sourcing processes and team collaboration. The position also involves developing and implementing market analyses and benchmarking processes, leveraging insights to inform and support category strategy development. A strategic supplier management program will be established to ensure optimal supply chain performance. The analyst/manager will perform financial modeling and lead the development and execution of negotiation strategies for high-value, complex multi-year deals. Setting strategic direction with suppliers, establishing qualification criteria, developing contract requirements, and negotiating and managing contracts are key responsibilities. The role requires leading support for cross-functional teams in developing and executing sourcing and supplier management strategies, as well as complex contract negotiations. Additionally, the analyst/manager will coach and train new recruits and serve in both informal and formal leadership roles within the team. The position demands a high level of independence, allowing the individual to operate with limited direct supervision while exercising judgment and autonomy. The analyst/manager will act as a subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members, ensuring that business decisions are made with appropriate risk assessment, particularly regarding the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
