About the position

This position requires close cooperation and oversight of F-35 Software Suppliers. You will monitor the suppliers' software development activity, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon software development processes. As an expert in the suppliers and program software development processes, you will be responsible for monitoring and identifying non-compliance. Your role will involve the collection and analysis of agreed-upon software metrics, and you will constantly evaluate and suggest process improvements based on these metrics and program requirements. In addition to monitoring, you will provide direction to the product teams through the individual team process leads. This includes producing and analyzing value, quality, and speed metrics, and working with the software development teams to implement necessary corrections and improvements. You will also interface with Lockheed Martin and Customer Program and Functional Management, support product increment planning with the team Software Project Managers (SPMs), and assist in internal and external process audits and evaluations, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating, producing, and reviewing software estimates with Software Architects, Software Leads, and Control Account Managers (CAMs). You will support release execution and verification, third-party software assessments, and defect reviews. This role is critical in ensuring that software development processes are adhered to and that the quality of the software produced meets the required standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Software Development Experience (Full Life Cycle)
  • Software Estimation Experience
  • Experience working with supplier software intensive subsystems
  • Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
  • Must be a US citizen with a Secret clearance.
