About the position

The Software Product Owner at Brady Corporation is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the development team. This role involves translating business needs into actionable user stories, managing the product backlog, and ensuring successful product delivery. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for driving collaboration and achieving product goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements.
  • Create and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and user stories.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, defining sprint goals and selecting backlog items for development.
  • Monitor sprint progress and facilitate necessary adjustments for on-time delivery.
  • Elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional software requirements.
  • Define and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a product owner or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, technologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
