About the position

The Software Product Owner will serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders and the development team, translating business needs into actionable user stories and managing the product backlog to ensure successful product delivery. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills to drive collaboration and achieve product goals, making it essential for candidates to have a proven track record in delivering successful products and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of user needs and expectations.
  • Create and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features and user stories based on business value and strategic goals.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, defining sprint goals and selecting backlog items for development.
  • Monitor sprint progress and facilitate any necessary adjustments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional software requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories that the development team can readily implement.
  • Define and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct UAT and validate that the delivered product meets business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a product owner or in a similar role.
  • A solid understanding of software development methodologies, technologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
