About the position

The Software Product Specialist is a senior role focused on overseeing and driving the success of Honeywell's software products. This position requires a combination of deep product knowledge, strategic oversight, leadership, and collaboration across various functions to enhance product performance, meet market demands, and support overall business objectives. The role involves managing new product introductions (NPI) and providing technical support for mobile computers, scanners, printers, and RFID products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or supervise the new product introduction (NPI) process.
  • Support strategies for new product introductions that align with market needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and integration of new products.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the NPI process.
  • Support product testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure new products are well-positioned in the market.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to new product introductions.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback on new products.
  • Proactively identify potential issues during the NPI phase and develop solutions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in product management, new product introduction, or a related role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching offerings.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.
