About the position

The Sr Software Development Engineer will be part of the AWS Managed Services (AMS) development team, focusing on developing and enhancing features that facilitate the adoption of AWS services for enterprise customers. This role involves working with a variety of AWS technologies to create new product capabilities that deliver operational outcomes efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve feature capabilities for AWS services.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Contribute to the full software development life cycle, including testing and deployment.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing and mentorship within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
• Experience with coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, and source control management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with operational excellence practices in software development.
• Knowledge of continuous deployment and testing methodologies.
