About the position
Amazon Q is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge generative AI platform aimed at transforming the developer experience. This role involves leveraging advanced AI techniques and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement AI solutions while ensuring high-quality software standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.
- Contribute to the development of Amazon Q, ensuring it remains at the forefront of generative AI technology.
- Apply the latest findings in machine learning and AI to practical software development challenges.
- Collaborate with diverse professionals, including researchers and scientists, to integrate AI technologies into software solutions.
- Be involved in the ideation and implementation of new features leveraging AI and machine learning.
- Uphold high standards in software development, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
