About the position

The Software QA Analyst position at McKesson is crucial for ensuring the quality of software products through both automated and manual testing. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and execute test scripts, ensuring the reliability and performance of software solutions. The analyst will also contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and help drive strategic QA goals within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testability.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data to support automated and manual testing efforts.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that the software meets business requirements and end-user needs.
  • Monitor and report on test execution progress, test coverage, and quality metrics.
  • Continuously research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance our QA processes.
  • Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software QA Analyst with a focus on automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Mocha, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Passionate about continuous learning and certification in industry best practices.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a highly creative, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically Electronic Health Records (EHRs), is highly desirable.
