About the position

The Software QA Analyst will be part of the Quality and Reliability team, focusing on ensuring high-quality video player integrations for various streaming platforms. This role involves collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, and Tech Leads in an Agile environment to test and validate video playback across multiple devices, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and packs within TestRail or Qmetry.
• Focus on testing items that can be enabled without additional development work by the video player tech team, such as onboarding existing features on existing platforms.
• Manage test results and produce detailed reports, regularly liaising with project teams to understand testing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement within the team, taking the initiative to achieve it and sharing knowledge across the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on testing experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively.
• Strong ability to switch between multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proven industry experience in video player testing, especially on mobile devices.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies, AV codecs, DRM systems, and familiarity with video players like Theo, JW Player, and Shaka Player.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and log analysis, ideally using Charles Proxy.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive and determined approach, and a passion for exploratory testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
