About the position

The Software QA Engineer 3 position at WEX involves leading quality assurance efforts for IT processes, programs, and products. The role requires a deep understanding of technical areas and industry best practices to develop and apply quality assurance protocols. The engineer will ensure compliance with IT quality standards and government regulations while collaborating with project stakeholders to define product and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, revise, and apply technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test IT processes, programs, and products.
• Ensure compliance with IT quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations.
• Perform analysis and identify trends in the inspection of IT processes, programs, and products, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with user experience and external specifications and standards.
• Evaluate application designs and recommend quality improvements to processes.
• Utilize automated testing tools and perform automated QA procedures, including knowledge of automated testing, scripting, and test management.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
• Conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
• Participate in defining design processes, practices, procedures, and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in high volume/high complexity system analysis and validation, including creation of custom SQL queries for data validation.
• 5-7 years of experience designing and building reusable testing automation.
• Ability to translate business needs and requirements into a holistic testing strategy.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw conclusions.
• Effective in a distributed team environment.
• 5-7 years of experience with HSA, FSA front ends, and Selenium testing framework.
• 5-7 years of experience with C# programming language.
• 5-7 years of working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework.
• 5-7 years of knowledge of SQL and scripting stored procedures.
