About the position

The Software QA Engineer at ServiceNow is responsible for designing and developing automated tests and frameworks to validate product functionality, thereby reducing manual testing efforts. This role involves creating test plans and scripts, maintaining various test suites throughout the software development life cycle, and collaborating with QA and Development teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. The position also includes documenting defects and reporting them to the development team, as well as participating in project planning and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust automated tests and frameworks.
• Create test plans, scenarios, and scripts addressing database impacts and software functional requirements.
• Maintain and execute functional, regression, sanity, smoke, and performance test suites throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with QA and Development teams to review design and code submissions.
• Document software defects in the bug tracking system and report them to the development team.
• Plan test strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
• Publish test results in BuildTools Management Portal.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and team meetings.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
