About the position

As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Android mobile platform products. This role requires a proactive, independent contributor who can own and drive QA efforts across the entire project lifecycle. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and automating tests, as well as developing test strategies and managing project timelines. Strong communication skills, an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and experience in both manual and automated testing within the mobile domain are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive testing for Android mobile devices, encompassing manual and automation tasks to ensure quality and functionality across all testing phases.
  • Take full ownership of the QA process, driving the project independently, assessing and reporting quality risks, and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Design, execute, and maintain high-quality automated tests, ensuring the automation framework is robust, scalable, and reliable.
  • Create and execute test strategies and plans, determine test coverage, and manage timelines and milestones.
  • Identify production issues, analyze test gaps, and implement continuous improvements to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and technical program managers, to ensure test case alignment, defect resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Regularly analyze QA data, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative testing solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in a QA role with demonstrated experience managing end-to-end testing independently.
  • Hands-on experience with Java (preferred) or Python and strong knowledge of QA automation tools.
  • Proficient in Android device testing, automation scripting, and maintenance of automation frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of effectively interacting with team members and presenting updates to leadership.
  • Excellent attention to detail in test planning, execution, and documentation, with a focus on producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Korean is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Android-specific automation tools and frameworks, and an understanding of the unique testing challenges in mobile development.

Benefits

  • Contract position for 12+ months with a pay range of $60/hr-$70/hr (DOE).
