About the position

The Software QA Engineer at Tesla Motors, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products within the AI & Robotics category. This role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects in software products.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on software design and architecture.
• Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI and robotics software testing.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools.
