About the position

The Software QA Engineer at NetApp will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the ONTAP filesystem through the development and execution of comprehensive test plans. This role involves hands-on testing, automation, and collaboration with development teams to maintain high product quality and reliability. The engineer will work with modern cloud technologies and contribute to the automation of testing processes, making a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans.
• Automate test cases and execute tests for scale and systemic testing.
• Provide quality analysis and maintain test automation for regression testing.
• Investigate and resolve issues in collaboration with development teams for test and production environments.
• Conduct hands-on testing, including integration, system, scale, and regression testing of features.

Requirements

• B.E/B. Tech or M.S in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4-8 years of experience in test planning, design, and automation of software products/features.
• Practical experience in hands-on testing and automation.
• Knowledge of RAID and/or storage technologies.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools like CoPilot is a plus.
• Passion for learning the latest testing technologies, tools, and frameworks.
