About the position

The Software QA Engineer position at Apple focuses on testing video applications on macOS and iOS platforms to ensure a high-quality customer experience. The engineer will engage in both manual and automated testing, report bugs, and collaborate closely with Engineering and Design teams to advocate for users.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, maintain, and execute test cases with minimal direction.
• Perform manual and automated testing of video applications.
• Report bugs with effective isolation and regression techniques.
• Manage a variety of deliverables and communicate progress and risks systematically.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and make educated judgments in ambiguous situations.
• Engage in ongoing dialogue with Engineering and Design teams as products evolve.

Requirements

• Strong technical skills in software testing and quality assurance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Experience in planning and executing test cases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Familiarity with video and photo technologies.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies.
