About the position

The Software QA Engineer for Vision Systems at Tesla Motors, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software used in factory automation and vision systems. This role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for software applications in vision systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects through the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on software architecture and design.
• Conduct performance and stress testing to ensure software reliability under various conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications in vision systems.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
