As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Advantest America, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative Application Hub, which is a key component of our cloud solutions for the semiconductor testing industry. Your work will directly contribute to Advantest's mission of revolutionizing the semiconductor game through precision manufacturing and cutting-edge technology. You will be part of a dynamic team that blends advanced technology with smart manufacturing practices, leveraging Industry 4.0 to enhance our product offerings and technical support capabilities. In this position, you will lead the overall quality assurance and testing efforts for the Application Hub, which enables customers to deploy, manage, and monitor machine learning-based applications on the semiconductor factory floor. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for backend services, utilizing programming languages such as Java and Python. Your expertise will be essential in managing and optimizing automated testing frameworks, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, to ensure seamless cloud operations. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work closely with customers, product management, support teams, and other departments to identify gaps in our processes and potential areas for improvement. You will provide hands-on technical expertise to design, deploy, and optimize test strategies for our cloud services and software running at the edge. Your commitment to maintaining high-quality standards will be reflected in your thorough testing of the Application Hub, and you will assist in documenting testing processes and results to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will support and guide the company's software engineering processes with a strong focus on quality and reliability. Your responsibilities will also include participating in on-call duties, identifying issues, driving them to resolution, and conducting blameless root cause analyses (RCA) to foster a culture of learning and improvement within the team.
