About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Bose will be responsible for driving testing operations for cloud-connected services and features within soundbar and wireless speaker products. This role involves collaborating with software development engineers to define test strategies, create test suites, and execute test cases, ensuring that products meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute routine, smart and focused manual tests based on identified feature sets to a scheduled plan.
  • Inform stakeholders on trade-offs between quality, delivery time, and project resources, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions on dependencies, ensuring all teams (software, hardware, product management) are aware of QA-driven delivery impacts and adjustments.
  • Write and execute manual test plans and related test cases.
  • Verify features and enhancements using white and black box methodologies.
  • Investigate and analyze root causes of technical issues and performance bottlenecks to provide sufficient data to engineering to help pinpoint problem areas in the system.
  • Work in a continuous improvement environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related equivalent degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Team player and exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Experience with Linux environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Embedded Device testing based on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and HDMI standards.
  • Experience with Android, iOS, or other mobile application development or testing.
  • Experience working with embedded Linux systems.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Testrail, Jira, Confluence, github.
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
