About the position

The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, building, and maintaining tools to support corporate network infrastructure. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality guidelines and processes are defined for testing and releasing software to production, as well as executing test cases to validate functionality and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, build, and maintain tools to support corporate network infrastructure.
  • Understand new functionality during the product life cycle at every phase.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to organize requirements, design, deploy, and provision all infrastructure components.
  • Define quality guidelines and processes for testing and releasing software to production.
  • Write and execute unit test cases and create test plans to replicate end-user experience.
  • Provide a structure of expected results of test plans.
  • Configure virtual machines for mock testing and automate scheduled executions for sanity tests.
  • Map manual and automated test cases.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during maintenance activities.
  • Test to ensure expected results and capture new performance metrics.
  • Support field engineers during maintenance activities involving network and optical infrastructure.
  • Document low-level and high-level designs, implementation plans, and technical specifications for the application.
  • Review flow charts detailing different use cases and create application defects with supporting screenshots and system logs.
  • Implement new security procedures, including installing and maintaining new software and hardware.
  • Identify security flaws and provide repairs or updates to address them.
  • Execute test cases on the product to determine functionality and re-generate outcomes to determine success rates.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting support for tracking and resolving bugs.
  • Work closely with vendors, operations, localization, and other internal teams to triage incidents and drive resolution.
  • Plan and develop security plans for the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other functional team members to select appropriate design solutions and ensure system compatibility.
  • Prepare quality analysis reports on each functionality of the product based on test plan outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Cyber Security, CIS, MIS, Engineering (Any), or any related field.
  • +1 year of experience in the job offered, QA Lead, IT Analyst, Strategy Project Analyst, or related.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with network and optical infrastructure testing.
  • Knowledge of security procedures and protocols.
