About the position

The Software QA Engineer at NetApp will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by developing and executing test plans, automating test cases, and performing various types of testing including black/whitebox and systemic testing. This role involves collaboration with the ONTAP filesystem team to maintain high product quality and improve testing processes through automation and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans.
• Automate test cases and execute tests for scale and systemic testing.
• Provide quality analysis and maintain test automation for regression testing.
• Investigate and resolve issues in collaboration with development teams for test and production environments.
• Perform hands-on testing, automation, integration, system, scale, and regression testing of features.

Requirements

• BS or M.S in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4 - 8 years of experience in test planning, design, and automation of software products/features.
• Practical experience in hands-on testing and automation.
• Knowledge of NAS/SAN protocols, RAID, and/or storage technologies is a plus.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools like CoPilot is a plus.
• Passion for learning the latest testing technologies, tools, and frameworks.

Nice-to-haves
