About the position

Aquila Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Software QA/QC Analyst to lead quality assurance and quality control initiatives within the software development team. This role is critical in supporting DevOps processes, ensuring seamless code deployment, and maintaining ISO 9001 standards for software quality management. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across teams to enhance operational safety and efficiency in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage QA/QC processes for software development.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), version control, and release management.
  • Ensure all software releases are delivered with proper documentation, including technical specifications, release notes, and version control.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure code quality, testing, and deployment protocols are upheld.
  • Support the maintenance of ISO 9001 standards related to software quality management.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies, both automated and manual, to ensure the reliability and performance of deliverables.
  • Ensure internal processes for code review, testing, and troubleshooting are followed and enhanced as needed.
  • Provide support for DevOps workflows, enabling smooth and efficient software releases.
  • Act as the key liaison between development, operations, and QA teams to streamline collaboration and maintain alignment on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies and software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and experience in quality management systems.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Grit), and environment management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on working across multiple teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
