About the position

The Software QA Test Analyst position is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings, focusing on software testing for new releases and upgrades to applications developed for the NCCRIS Project. The role involves collaboration with application development teams to conduct various testing activities, ensuring that all software applications meet performance test goals and are thoroughly tested before deployment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with load stress and performance testing required for software applications.
• Reviewing and understanding all business design and functional requirements.
• Gathering proper system requirements in order to create suitable performance test plans.
• Setting up test strategies, test scenarios, load test scripts, and test data for performance monitoring.
• Executing bottleneck baseline scalability and breakpoints tests to ensure benchmarks are met.
• Evaluating performance measurements and analyzing test results, working with project team members to diagnose performance-related problems.
• Coordinating and ensuring that all testing activities and deliverables are on time, verifying that all software applications are thoroughly performance tested.

Requirements

• Experience with VB scripting to create/modify code for test cases (5 years highly desired).
• Experience with identifying and resolving automation issues and challenges (5 years highly desired).
• Experience with Automated Testing products such as Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, or Selenium, Jira, OpenText ALM, and UFT (5 years highly desired).
• Experience with performing software testing with OpenText ALM and UFT (5 years required).
• Experience with execution of the test cases and test scripts (5 years required).
• Experience with defect management and reporting (5 years required).
• Experience reviewing requirements documentation and designing/developing test case coverage for system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (5 years required).
• Experience designing test plans, executing test cases/scenarios, and developing testing documentation and results reports for applications tested (5 years required).
• Graduation from a 4-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science or any related Information Technology concentration (required).
