As a Software Quality Administrator at Pearson, your primary responsibility will be to perform testing and verification of online assessments across various hardware and software configurations. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our online assessment products. You will utilize qTest to report defects, troubleshoot issues, and retest until the test runs are clean and approved. Your work will directly contribute to the overall user experience and effectiveness of our assessment tools. In this position, you will engage in comprehensive testing and verification processes, utilizing multiple platforms including Zephyr and Jira. You will be responsible for recording testing configurations, documenting test runs, and reporting any defects encountered during testing. Effective communication and collaboration with team members will be essential as you troubleshoot, reproduce, and retest issues that arise. You will also be tasked with updating TestNav Apps and configurations on various devices, ensuring that all versions used in testing are accurately recorded. Additionally, you will access and reference various systems and documentation to aid in validation procedures, and utilize virtual machines for online assessment testing. When necessary, you will create or update documentation for testing procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in our testing methodologies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team environment. A willingness to work nights and weekends may be required based on project needs, and remote work options are available.
