About the position

Kwik Trip, Inc.'s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time Software Quality Assurance Analyst. This role will be responsible for upholding software quality standards by selecting, implementing, and providing training on the most efficient and effective quality assurance tools, processes, and policies. This role ensures Kwik Trip delivers an exceptional software experience to its business unit customers and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans.
  • Perform analysis of new and existing systems.
  • Identify critical bugs using multiple methods (smoke, verification, regression, etc.)
  • Documentation and reporting of new/known bugs and issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of quality standards and user acceptance.
  • Review specifications, designs, and mockups to provide meaningful feedback.
  • Evaluate software and services to identify opportunities for application functionality improvements.
  • Contribute to release creation and change management process for seamless deployment of software updates.
  • Consistent communication of recommendations and concerns to team and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting computer programs and application systems.
  • Ability to assist in defining requirements.
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies and standards.
  • Experience with scripting and test automation.
  • Understanding and knowledgeable in web concepts and terminology.
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Agile frameworks, or Project Management principles.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent documentation skills to accurately create artifacts of software testing.
  • High attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the software are thoroughly tested.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
