Peraton is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manual Tester to join our team in Cleveland, OH. This position is integral to the technical support and administration of the Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS), which provides essential reports required by the Treasury, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for various entities within the Department of Defense (DoD). The reports produced are crucial for the Service (Agency) or DoD Component level and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Statements that must be consolidated for the entire DoD. As a Software QA Tester/Analyst, you will focus on manual testing to ensure that all software meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications. In this role, you will be responsible for software testing in support of the maintenance and development of the DCAS application. You will plan your test approach based on business requirements and design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Your responsibilities will include manually testing any new software, conducting software compatibility tests with various programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments, and creating and maintaining databases of known test defects. You will work collaboratively across departments to validate actual test results against expected results and review and document defects against business documentation throughout the systems development life-cycle. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will be expected to communicate test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. You will also analyze complex situations and recommend solutions to clients, as well as suggest areas for process improvement. Daily stand-up meetings with the project team will be part of your routine, where you will provide detailed analysis when requested.
