About the position

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Application Tester at Leidos is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of a geospatial application within a cloud computing environment. This role involves developing test plans, executing various testing strategies, and collaborating with development teams to ensure that all requirements and user stories are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and be a proactive team player who can assist others when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and testing strategies using Lean Agile development practices.
• Conduct use case testing, regression testing, and design and run test scenarios.
• Ensure all requirements and user stories are built as designed.
• Assist in writing test plans and detect, track, report, and communicate any test defects.
• Create tests for ad hoc situations, replicating user-reported problems under specific conditions.
• Assist in moving the team towards Test Driven Development principles.
• Consolidate, record, and report analysis results.
• Work across the client's Application development teams in requirements and testing support.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with a project team to define requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience developing test cases and manual testing of web-based applications.
• Experience testing APIs and integration of enterprise services.
• Experience detecting, tracking, reporting, and communicating test defects effectively.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with agile development methodologies and test driven development, ideally as a Scrum Master.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in test automation.
• Experience with accessibility testing.
